Pre-Requisites:

Before attending the Physical Intervention Training:

• Complete a medical fitness questionnaire.
• Wear appropriate clothing: loose-fitting attire and closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes.
• Ensure you are well-hydrated.

General Safety Guidelines

Hygiene

• Wash hands frequently and make use of provided sanitiser.
• Training equipment will be sanitised before and after each use.

Personal Space

• Maintain a safe distance during non-physical segments of the training.
• Follow instructor guidance during close-contact exercises.

Reporting

• Immediately report any discomfort, pain, or other health-related concerns to the instructor. 

During Physical Training

Warm-Up and Cool-Down

• Participate in all warm-up and cool-down activities to prepare your body for physical exertion.

Following Instructions

• Carefully listen to and follow the instructions provided by your trainer.
• Do not engage in any physical intervention techniques not demonstrated by the trainer.

Use of Training Equipment 

• Only use training equipment (such as mats, props, etc.) when instructed to do so.

Partner Exercises 

• Always be aware of your training partner’s comfort and safety.
• Cease any technique if your partner signals discomfort or if instructed by the trainer.

Health Monitoring

• The instructor will routinely check for signs of physical stress or discomfort among participants.

Post-Training

• Should you experience any discomfort or physical issues after the session, report them to the instructor for documentation and advice on medical attention.

Emergency Procedures

• Familiarise yourself with the location of emergency exits and medical kits.
• In case of an emergency, follow the instructor’s lead and the established emergency procedures.

• Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant?
• Do you have a history of fainting or seizures?
• Have you ever been diagnosed with a neurological condition (e.g., epilepsy)?
• Are you currently experiencing any symptoms of illness (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat)?
• Is there any other information about your health that you believe is important for us to know?

As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of training and accreditation, we require participants in practical courses to sign disclaimers. These disclaimers acknowledge that certain parts of the course may be recorded for evidential purposes, primarily to demonstrate participation to the awarding body.

Please be assured that any recordings made during the course will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and security. Recordings are stored on a secure server and are inaccessible to anyone except the awarding body or authorised authorities. These recordings are kept for a period of three years, after which they are automatically purged from our system.

Please be advised that parking in the area surrounding our office is extremely limited. We kindly request that you do not use the LA Gym car park, as this is reserved strictly for their customers. While there may be some street parking available nearby, it is highly recommended that you consider using public transport to reach our location to avoid any parking issues.

Once you arrive, you’ll find that our on-site facilities are well-equipped to cater to your needs. We offer tea and coffee-making facilities, a microwave, fridge, and WiFi access for your convenience. However, we encourage you to bring your own packed lunch, as shops may not be easily accessible during short breaks.

Additionally, please remember to bring any cold beverages and special dietary items such as alternative milks or teas that you may require throughout the day. We want to ensure that you have everything you need to stay comfortable and focused during your time with us.
